Lalbagh is a 240 acres (0.97 km2) which hold two flower shows and has over 1,000 species of plants with many trees that are more than a hundred years old.

It has four gates namely eastern, southern, northern, and the western gate. The western gate is situated near Siddapura Circle and one can enter this gate and enjoy the sylvan atmosphere of the garden.
As soon as you enter the northern gate, you will be welcomed by a fountain. After walking through the way, you will find the Lalbagh lake.

Lalbagh is a good place for bird watching both in the lake and on the ground.
An artificial waterfall has been commissioned in 2017 at the far eastern edge of the lake. But, It will definitely take some time for you to realise that it’s an artificial waterfall. You can take a picture here if you haven’t changed DP since a while. 😉

As said earlier, this garden is famous for many trees that are more than a hundred years old. Most of the centuries-old trees are labelled for easy identification. Btw you can pluck the fruits. Just make sure that no one is looking at you.
But yeah! It’s good to see all those older trees in this present world. The efforts to keep them alive this long must be appreciated.
Take a glance at one of the trees I have captured.

Every year during the week of Republic day and Independence day, to educate people about the variety of flora and develop public interest in plant conservation and cultivation, flowers shows are being conducted.
Lalbagh also has a “Garden centre” where citizens can buy ornamental plants. This is managed by Nursery Men’s Cooperative society.
If you are a plant person, Just get one and help yourself to get rid out of this pollution.
The next best thing that you shouldn’t miss at this place is the sunset.
With the water flowing all over, birds flying in the sky, and the pleasant climate during the sunset will definitely help you to feel relaxed. 😍

If you don’t want to miss the scene, just be there before the sunsets. ( You can check the sunset time of the day in Google for the accurate information)

By the time you come out of this place, you will definitely feel hungry. With the facts saying that there’s no visiting place in India where you can’t find some food.
Similarly, You can taste some real street food flavours here as well. But don’t blame me if you haven’t found one. It depends on the time as well. 😋
And the best thing I found here to buy is the balloon you can see in the picture below. It’s a balloon capped with another balloon and the lights attached all around which makes it look more attractive.

As the valentine’s week is coming, this would be one of the perfect gifts you can present to your GF/BF.
Hmm.. If you ask me whether I bought one or not. I would say, no. 😅 Because I have no one to present at this point in time.
But yeah, I took this picture to show her in the future. 😌
And then comes the live experience to hear the tunes played by this unknown person. Among all those tunes, pachtaoge was ☺️.
Just giving him a bow by taking this picture.

Keeping all my experience in mind, the best time to visit this place would be in the month of January or February. Because you can also catch up the flower show which happens twice in a year.
And also the climate in the month of January makes it look more beautiful with the best of nature before your eyes.
If you have a soulmate/ friends with whom you feel comfortable, take them along with you. Because It’s never a bad idea to experience the best of nature along with them.
Go.. take him/her and add a page into your travel diaries.
Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.
